DELE Preparation Course

D.E.L.E is the Diploma de Espanol como Lengua Extranjera issued by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training. The DELE certificates are official titles, which demonstrate the student’s level of Spanish.

The exams are standardised and are the same all over the world on the levels adopted by Spain within the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.  

Who is it for?

DELE is a valuable addition of proved skills for anyone who wants to study in Spain or wants to work in a Spanish speaking environment. People interested in working for the Spanish government need to provide a DELE, in order to be registered on the list of candidates. For students who join our long term courses we always recommend taking the DELE.

There are six levels of DELE:

A1 – This title certifies that the student is able to communicate on a basic level using common and frequent expressions to express everyday needs. 

A2 – This title certifies that the student is able to use everyday expressions, especially related to areas of experience connected to the immediate surroundings (like basic personal information, shopping, leisure or work)

B1 – This title certifies that the student is able to understand the main point of a given text, as well as correctly manage day-to-day situations in a Spanish-speaking environment. 

B2 – This title certifies that the student is able to interact with Spanish speakers in most every day situations with fluency, produce clear and detailed texts in general non-specific contexts, and understand the main points of texts on specific subjects. 

C1 –  This title certifies the ability of the student to express themselves using the appropriate expression for a given situation in most social contexts (like leisure, work or study) as well as produce texts which deal with complexities of a given topic.

C2 – This title certifies that the student is able to respond spontaneously and with precision to any situation, elaborate complex and specialised written and oral expression and understand the cultural complexities of their environment.
