Who are the teachers?

All our teachers are native speakers. They have teacher qualifications obtained in Spain or their countries of origin.

Where is the school?

Our school is located in the city centre, 5 min walk to the port and main municipal beach in O Grove.

How long in advance do I have to book?

We are flexible with booking option, however we recommend that you book at least two weeks in advance.

Do I have to book activities in advance?

Generally, we recommend booking at least a week in advance so that we can organise your activity according to your schedule. For boat trips to the Cies and Ons Islands we need to know the number of participants at least 3 weeks in advance. This is due to registration requirement from the regional government as they monitor the number of visitors to the Islands

Can I book accommodation without a language course?

As a rule we do not offer stand alone accommodation. If you want to book with us you need to enrol to a language course.

How do I get to O Grove?

The main airports are Vigo, Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña (in Spain) and O Porto (in Portugal). There are buses from the airports to the town. However, we also offer pick-ups from the airport at a special price. Please indicate in your booking form or writing to us at info@rias-bajas.com if you need an airport pick up or drop off. 

Can I bring my family?

We offer special courses for families. If your children need babysitters while you are in class, or after-school activities, we organise childminding services.

How far is the accommodation from the school?

All the apartments as well as pensions and hotels we work with are within 5-20 minutes walking distance from the school. 

Will I share an apartment with students from other countries?

Yes, usually students from different countries share the same flat.

Do I need to bring towels and bed linen in case of a shared apartment?

We provide bedsheets. Towels are not included.

When will I receive information about my accommodation?

At least two weeks before we will send you a detailed description of your accommodation along with the address.
